Warm weather attracts several local families
The service at Cavan United
Church was conducted by Rev. John
whose sermon was titled "The Cross
Proclaimed."
Connie Alcock and Brenda Dalton
were the collectors. The Lenten can-
dle ceremony - "Through Shadows
to Light" was led by Nicole and
Cassie Morey with Natalie
Campbell and Colin Howson assist-
ing.
After the service coffee and
muffins were
served by Diane
and Jim Rapson
and 'Grace
Dolmage.
Several people from the area have
travelled south for a change of
scenery and weather.
Jim and Ann Bosman spent a
week in the Orlando/Kissimee area
in Florida. They attended a Blue
Jays game, Animal Kingdom and
several other
places of inter-
est. Ann was
impressed with
the First Baptist Church service she
attended. The building could hold
20,000 people with a choir of 350

members.
Brenda and Les Bernard, Jason
and Danielle spent a week relaxing
in Myrtle Beach.
Bill and Sharon McClure motored
Sympathy extended to family
and friends of Lewis Donnelly
Lewis Donnelly, who
farmed for his whole life east
of Dublin, died on March 12.
Sympathy to his sisters, Irene
Healy and Dorothy Donnelly,
and to all other family. Mass
of Christian Burial was held
at St. Patrick's Church, with
Rev. Father Alan Dufraimont
officiating. Spring burial will
be in St. Patrick's Cemetery,
Dublin.
St. Patrick's CWL Fun Day
is approaching quickly. If

Knights of Columbus held a
Pancake Brunch after the 9
a.m. mass last Sunday, March
19 in St. Vincent de Paul
Parish Hall.
