Toastmasters
host open
house on
public speaking
Conversation promises: to be lively
when Clinton Communicators
Toastmasters Club hosts its Open
House on March 28.
The club invites anyone interested
in improving their public speaking
and leadership skills to join in a reg-
ular meeting.
Guests will hear speeches from
long-time members and newcomers
to the club. They will learn how
members improve their skills in a
supportive environment. And they
will be invited to take part in a
round of short, impromptu speeches,
if they so choose.
"At Toastmasters, our members
lose their fear of public speaking
and learn skills that help them in
whatever path they've chosen in life.
They learn not just how to deliver
better speeches, but how to organize
their thoughts in order to better
communicate in job interviews, busi-
ness meetings and even personal
relationships," said Sandra Billson,
president - of Clinton
Communicators.
Over coffee, tea and goodies,
guests will hear testimonials from
members who learned at
Toastmasters how to make better
presentations, improve their listen-
ing skills, lead_ teams and conduct
meetings.
The Open House will be held
Tuesday, March 28, at 7 p.m., at the
Ontario Ministry of Agriculture,
Food and Rural Affairs office, 100
Don St., Clinton. Doors open at 6:30
p.m.
