GREER: Florence Agnes Martha (Pollock) Greer,
gone to be with her Lord Jesus, peacefully on
March 6, 2006 at Huronlea, Brussels in her 92nd
year. Beloved wife of the late Orval John Greer
(1986). Loved by her children Harvey of Hamilton
and Hazel of Dungannon; grandmother of Kevin
and Jeff of London, Jennifer and Philip of
Hamilton and great grandmother of Matthew and
Joshua of London. Special thanks to the staff of
Huronlea for their care and.: compassion.. At
Florence's request there was no visitation. A
private family service has been held. Rev. Gary
Fischer officiated. Interment Clinton Cemetery.

Hospital on Monday, March 6, 2006, Art
Henderson of Seaforth, in his 86th year. Beloved
husband of the late Gertrude Henderson (2005).
Loving father of Bev and Dorothy Henderson of
Carlisle, Shirley and Doug Mills of Clinton, Murray
and Carol Henderson of Egmondville and
Douglas and Christine Henderson of Guelph.
Loving grandfather of Denise (Lee), Trevor
(Shaunna), Andrea, Kayley, Pamela (Scott),
Scott, Stephen, Craig and Emily. Loved brother of
Lois Churchward and Bill (Joyce) Henderson.
Dear brother-in-law of Pearl Henderson and
Bruce Walters. Predeceased by his parents Ivison
and Edna (Love) Henderson, a brother John
Henderson and a brother-in-law Gordon
Churchward. Family received friends at the
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, Seaforth on
Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral
service was held at Egmondville United Church
on Thursday, March 9 at 3:00 p.m. Pastor
Stephen Hildebrand officiated. Interment
Maitlandbank Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim
Henderson, Bob Henderson, Don Henderson,
Kevin Henderson, Jeff Henderson and Bruce
Henderson. Memorial donations to Heart and

MCCLURE, Samuel: At Seaforth Manor Nursing
Home on Monday, March 13, 2006, Samuel
McClure of Seaforth and formerly of McKillop
Township, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of
Mary (Dorrance) McClure. Dear father of Gary,
Elaine and Jim Floyd and Clair, all of Seaforth,
Shirley and Dick Robinson of Brucefield, Doris
and Murray Clark of Kincardine and Douglas of
Victoria, B.C. Loving grandfather of nine. Loved
brother and brother-in-law of Nelson and Fern
McClure, Dorothy and Bob Dalton, Mavis Datton
and Walter McClure. Predeceased by parents
William and Emeline (Storey) McClure, brothers
Harvey (Bessie), Jim, and Bert (Dorothy), sister
Margaret (Thomas) Carter, brother-in-law Percy
Dalton and sister-in-law Muriel McClure. Family
will receive friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral

SMITH, James: On Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at
St. Mary's Genera! Hospital, Kitchener, James
Smith, age 73, of Seaforth and formerly of
Scotland. Beloved husband of Marion. Cherished
father of Lorraine and Dave Hunt of Seaforth and
Karen Brown and Sandy Stewart of Scotland.
Loving grandfather of Louise, Robert, Laura,
Craig and Josh, and great-grandson Caleb. Also
survived by one brother and many nieces and
nephews. There was no funeral home visitation.
A memorial service was held at Northside United
Church, Seaforth, on Friday, March 10, 2006 at
4:00 p.m. Rev. John Gould officiated. The piper
was Gordon Grozier. Memorial donations to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.

O'ROURKE, Elizabeth: Mrs. Elizabeth Mae
(Cronin) O'Rourke, 78, of Mitchell passed away
peacefully with her family by her side at the Ritz
Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Thursday, March 9,
2006. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack)
O'Rourke (1992). Dear mother of David O'Rourke
and wife Ann of Mitchell, Delaine O'Rourke of
London, Bryan O'Rourke and wife Linda of
Seaforth, Mary Helen Van Loon and husband
Mike of RR2, Dublin, Sally Stacey and husband
Bill of Mitchell and Kevin O'Rourke and wife Jan
of RR1, Dublin. Loving grandmother of 16
grandchildren. Dear sister of Frank Cronin of
RR2, Dublin and Jim Cronin and wife Mildred of
Mitchell. Dear sister-in-law of Anne Cronin of
Newmarket, Joan Cronin and Marie O'Rourke,
both of Mitchell. Also surviving are a number of
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her
parents Joseph and Elizabeth (Roach) Cronin, a
son Michael O'Rourke (1993), brothers Len and
wife Mary, Jack, Joe and wife Delaine, Lorne,
Clarence and Bob Cronin, brothers-in-law and
sisters-in-law Johnny and Dorothy Robinson, Gus
and Margaret Denomme, Pearl O'Rourke, Bill
O'Rourke, Joe O'Rourke, Clayton and Kathryn
Looby and Pat and Marg O'Rourke. Friends were
received at'the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109
Montreal St., Mitchell on Sunday 7-9 p.m. and on
Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial
was celebrated at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic
Church, Dublin on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with
Rev. Alan Dufraimont - celebrant. Commentator
for the mass was Margaret Rowland. Readers
were Brittany Stacey and Jennifer O'Rourke.
Prayers of the Faithful by Sarah and Michelle Van
Loon. Offertory bearers were AdriennarKaylen,
Jack, Luke and Allyson O'Rourke. Pallbearers
were Mark and Matthew O'Rourke, Shawn and
Greg Van Loon, Brad and Bryan Stacey. Spring
interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Memorial
donations to St. Vincent de Paul or St. Patrick's
Church Building Funds, Ritz Villa Missing Link or
Arthritis Society would be appreciated. Parish
prayers were offered at the funeral home on

BALKWILL, Laura: Laura Myra Balkwill, 93, of
Seaforth and formerly of RR2, Staffa passed
away at Seaforth Community Hospital on
Saturday, March 11, 2006. Dear aunt of Margaret
Brait of Mississauga, Robert Norris and wife
Bernice of RR2, Staffa and Eric Norris and wife
Bonnie of Baie D'Urfe, Quebec. Also surviving
are a number of great nieces and nephews and
their families. She was the last surviving member
of her immediate family having been
predeceased by her parents Richard and
Rebecca (Diver) Balkwill, brother Roy Balkwill,
sisters Orpha (Samuel) Norris and Ethel Balkwill,
nephews James (Doriene) Norris and Anthony
Brait, niece Ethel May Lyall (Bill Stanzak).
A graveside memorial service will be held at
Staffa Cemetery at a later date. Memorial
donations to Seaforth Community Hospital or
charity of one's choice would be appreciated and

SHAW, DOROTHY: Peacefully at Bluewater
Nursing Home in Zurich on March 6th, 2006,
Dorothy Evelyn Shaw (Langford) formerly of
London in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late
William Robert Shaw. Loving mother of June
Boussey (Guss 2004) of Clinton, William Robert
Shaw (Marlene 2003) of Perth and George Shaw
(Susan Hamilton) of Grand Bend. She will be
sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 10 great
grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents
Elizabeth Standfield and William AI Langford and
brothers Charles Langford (Ruth), Alexander
Langford (Lillian), George Langford (Edna),
Russell Langford (Marjorie) and James Langford
(Dorothy). Dorothy was a life member of the
Bethlehem Chapter of the Eastern Star. Visitation
and the funeral were held at the Needham
Funeral Chapel, London. last Wednesday and
Thursday. Rev. Tim Conner from St. George's
Anglican Church officiated. Interment was in

Cody, Michael and Nathan are very happy and
proud to announce the birth of their little brother
Jackson Dylan Dietz. Jackson arrived February
14, 2006 at 4:29 p.m. weighing 8 lbs. 7 oz. Also
welcomed by grandparents Norma and the late
Mervin Dietz and Ruby and Laird Finlayson.
Thank you very much to Dr. Percival, Rita, Dr.
Hillyer and the 2nd floor staff at Stratford Hospital

On March 2, 2006, Blaine, Kelly and big brother
Ryan welcomed a beautiful little girl into their
lives. Morgan Amy was born at Stratford General
Hospital and weighed 8 lbs. 14 oz. Proud
grandparents are Allan and Barb Bosman,
Londesboro, and Maxine Marks, Seaforth.
Morgan is also welcomed by great-grandparents
Gordan and Louise Bosman, Wingham, and
Marion Snell, Londesboro. Smiling down from
Heaven are Grandpa Nelson Marks and Great
Grandpa Jack Snell. Special thanks to Dr. Smith,

Marion and family would like to sincerely thank all
friends, relatives and neighbours for all the cards,

help on the sudden passing of Jim at St. Mary's
Hospital, Kitchener. We would like to thank the
doctor and staff at the emergency department of
Seaforth Hospital for their attention. Many thanks to
Northside United Church for their help at the
luncheon so thoughtfully prepared by Christine at
Seaforth Bakery. Thanks also to Ruth Townsend of
Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home for her guidance. A
special thanks must be made to the Reverend John
Gould for his attention to the family at a very difficult
time, he made the funeral service very special and
provided much needed spiritual comfort.
