dents in Morris-
Turnberry have been
struck hard with vandal-
ism recently, says the
Huron OPP.
On March
4 at 2 a.m.,
21 mailbox-
es were
destroyed in the area,
causing $1,200 in dam-
age.

Glanville returns home after days in hospital
The first Sunday in Lent was
observed at Cavan United
Church.
Judy Beuerman and Holly
Braecker extinguished the Lenten candle.
Rev. John's sermon was titled "Words and
Works."
i Susan and Larry Wheatley were the
greeters and collectors.
For the social time after the service, Maja
Dodds and Marjorie Papple looked after the
coffee and muffins.
Several members of Cavan attended the
World Day of Prayer service held at
Egmondville United Church this year. Ruth
Axtmann and Ruth Campbell were the partic-
ipants from this church.
Les Glanville has returned home :;after
spending several days in hospi-
tal suffering from pneumonia.
Don and Maja Dodds visited
Maja's mother Mary Roobal at
Queensway Retirement Home and helped
Mary celebrate her birthday.
Several from the Winthrop area attended
the Scott Tournament of Hearts. Neil and
Loretta Dolmage, Paul Dodds, Neil and Marie
McGavin, Art Glanville and Shelley Blocka,
and Karen and Holly Braecker all travelled to
London for these games.
Bill and Freida Kerslake visited with Carol
and Francis Hunt on Sunday.
