Plenty to keep kids
busy over March break

Let's Spend
TheNight Together
There's plenty of activities going on around the area to
keep kids busy this March break.
The Vanastra Recreation Centre is holding a series of
events over the week, beginning this Friday with a paja-
ma party.
According to the centre's manager Lissa Berard, kids
can come to the centre in their pajamas, where they'll
watch cartoons and play some games in the morning.
In the afternoon they'll go swimming, followed by pop-
corn and a movie.
On March 14, the recreation centre is holding a Fear
Factor Play Day.
"We've got some fun little games - nothing extreme or
dangerous though," says Berard.
She says kids will also get to eat strange looking food.
The next day the recreation centre is loading a bus for
to St. Mary's Tubing.
On March 16 the recreation centre is holding a Winter
Olympics Play Day.
"We're going to have snow games outside. Not
Olympics sports, but goofy sports."
Berard is also planning on taking kids curling, where
they can play different games like who can get the stone
closest to the middle.
There will even be medals, although not actually
made of metal, for the winners.
The Seaforth Community Centre is holding a number
of public skates at the arena over March break.
They are March 13 from 2-3:30 p.m., March 16 from
1:30-3 p.m. and March 17 from 2-3 p.m.
And for kids between the ages six and 12, the Seaforth
Co-operative Children's Centre will be taking kids
skating March 10 and bowling March 15.
