Grade 5 students from St. James School
visit with residents for Valentines Day
Residents of Maplewood Manor
were quite content to stay indoors
and watch the great outdoors dur-
ing the blustery weather of
February. Wiarton Willie's forecast
seemed to be questionable. •
Church services were enjoyed
with Pastor Unwin and Rev. Wilson.
Residents also took part in a hymn
sing with Virginia Elg.
There was lots of music to be
enjoyed as we had visits from Carl
Carter, Marjory Papple and Bill
Gibson. Residents are also enjoying

the in-house entertainment with
Elgin Nott, Warren Whitmore and
Alec Murray.
Grade 5. students from St. James
School came to Maplewood to visit
their "buddies." Residents enjoyed
making a Valentine craft and were
very proud to display it in their
room.

After a blustery
Saturday,
Sunday morning
dawned bright
and clear and also quite fresh.
Rev. John's sermon was titled
"The Old Testament and Christ."
The Sunday School sang, "Whisper
a Prayer." Greeters and collectors
were Brian and Carol Ann
Campbell.
After the service a tasty soup and
sandwich lunch with squares was
enjoyed by a good crowd. In charge
of the brunch this time was Lori and
Mike Goos and Ruth Campbell.
Next event of this kind will be
March 26.

clapping to celebrate Valentine's
Day with the Huron Strings. The
love songs and Valentine treats
helped to make the day very special.
Challenging games of crokinole
and bingo kept residents on their
toes. Hands were kept busy doing
crafts at our craft sessions, prepar-
ing for our bazaar.
Residents appreciated the visit
from members of the Mennonite
• choir who came and, sang many of
our favourite hymns.
