Former parish members reunite for night
of laughter, celebration and fellowship
"We never get to see anyone
anymore" has been the statement
echoed by many of the parish-
ioners of the St. Columban parish
family in the last six months since
the church was closed in June,
2005.
On Friday, January 6, they filled
the local Knights of Columbus
Hall to capacity in a community
reunion filled with laughter, cele-
bration, fellowship and "catching
up" with each other.
Games of progressive euchre
were enjoyed by many, while the
young adults hung out at tables
talking, and young children
coloured, played games or
watched a video.
No one starved as the pot luck
dessert table was filled to over-
flowing with many goodies. A
good time was enjoyed by all pre-
sent, and not to be easily forgot-
ten.
Lorraine and Kevin Denneny,
along with their children, Jamie,
Aaron and Jesse, and Lorraine's
mother, Karen Mowat, have start-

downtown St. Columban, known
as "Denneny's Grill' has already
been frequented by many of the
locals for a cup of coffee and
breakfast or lunch.
A brand new house has been the
focus of interest as it is being built
in St. Columban. Helen Nolan has
recently moved to her new home
in Seaforth. Her son and daughter-
in-law, Eugene and Barb Nolan
and family are building a now
home at the site of Helen's former
home.
