Im.p_aired Driving Everywhere) campaign in. Huron County. During the five-week campaign that ended Jan. 2, Huron OPP checked a total of 10,669 vehicles at roadside checkpoints. There were 14 "other" charges, which include traffic and liquor. Huron OPP are calling this year's campaign a success, especially since there were no serious: collisions. involving alcohol in the area. "Although four people charged with drinking and driving is unacceptable, all four were - removed from the roadways as a result of the RIDE program," said Const. Jeff Walraven in a press release. Provincially, the OPP stopped 139,645 vehicles which has resulted in 134 12 -hour suspensions, 46 people charged with alcohol related drinking and driving offences, and 443 charges laid for other offences.
