Soup and fresh bread enjoyed following Sunday service The title of the sermon at Cavan United Church was "Mary's Awe!" The Sunday School presented several numbers including "Jesus" by the nursery kids and "The Meaning of the Candy Cane" and "Christmas in the Heart" by the older children. The quartet sang "Christmas." Jim and Diane Rapson lit the Advent candle. Collectors and greeters were Jackie and Steve Mohr. Soup and fresh broad were served after the service by the Sunday school. Gordon and Irma Pryce recently returned from a trip to Halifax where they watched the curling tryouts for the Olympics in 2006. Irma reported they had heavy snow one day and rain one morning but the rest of the time the weather was great. All the games they watched were close games with no runaways.
