Janine Fischer of Seaforth is one of dozens of area residents who came out to a spaghetti dinner at
Central Huron Secondary School Wednesday in support of sending Zambian children to school
through the Jessica Bokhout-led drive.
Soup and fresh
bread enjoyed
following
Sunday service
The title of the sermon at Cavan United Church was "Mary's
Awe!"
The Sunday School presented several numbers including
"Jesus" by the nursery kids and "The Meaning of the Candy
Cane" and "Christmas in the Heart" by the older children.
The quartet sang "Christmas." Jim and Diane Rapson lit the
Advent candle. Collectors and greeters were Jackie and Steve
Mohr.
Soup and fresh broad were served after the service by the
Sunday school.
Gordon and Irma Pryce recently returned from a trip to
Halifax where they watched the curling tryouts for the Olympics
in 2006.
Irma reported they had heavy snow one day and rain one
morning but the rest of the time the weather was great. All the
games they watched were close games with no runaways.
Anyone having visitors or visiting out of town over the holi-
day season feel free to contact me at 527-0675.
