noses. They always have
hats," says Mattie.
Olivia says the elves wear
all sorts of different colours.
"They have green, and red,
and blue, and orange cos-
tumes, in every colour."
He might not be sure what
the elves look like, but
Taylor Goldsworthy is pret-
ty sure he knows where
they live.
"They live in Santa's
house."
That sure would make
things crowded, but not if
Noah Mcllory is right.
"The elves live under-
ground."
According to Taylor,
Santa's getting some help
not just from the elves, but
nine reindeer as well.
"His reindeer pull him in a
sleigh through the sky."
It probably would be too
far to walk from the North
Pole, according to Olivia.
"Even Santa has to have a
sleigh, he can't just walk."
Mattie says. Santa just
hooks his flying reindeer to
his sled, and of course, "the
leader is Rudolph."
"He puts all the toys in
Hayden Flood
(the sleigh). He says `ya' to
make the reindeer go."
Laura Ashwin isn't quite
sure how the reindeer can
fly, but sure is glad they
can.
"The reindeer don't have
wings, but they're special,
they can fly up in the air."
Laura says it is that same
"special" power that allows
Santa to fit his jolly figure
down skinny chimneys all
night long.
"He has a special finger
that will make him smaller."
Haden says Santa just
goes "feet first, and then his
whole body."
But what about when
there is no chimney?
Laura has the answer for
that too.

"He quietly walks into the
front door. He probably uses
his magic finger to get in."
Mattie says her chimney is
too little for Santa, so he
just goes through the front
door as well.
But only once you're sleep-
ing, says Mattie, because he

ing, and knows when
awake.
If Santa's magic powers
aren't working when he gets
to Noah's house, Noah
doesn't have to worry.
"We leave the door
unlocked."
Olivia says Santa can use
his magic to go skinny or fat
if he wants, but some-
times he'll use the front
door.
"When he's magic he
can open the door without
making a big bang, or
close them quietly."
"He goes down the
chimney, then he finds the
tree and puts the presents
underneath the tree," says
Haden.
"Then in the morn-
ing we open the presents
and see what Santa got
us."
Taylor and Laura
both want a Tamagotchi
for Christmas, and hope-
fully for their sake, Santa
knows what that is.
Santa should have
no problem with Noah's
list, which consists of a
truck and race car.
Abby is hoping for
not just a pink bear, but
"an elephant with a bow
on his head."

Due to influenza and other viruses in our communities,
the Emergency Departments are extremely busy. As
always, patients will be seen in order of urgency.

THIS BUSY HOLIDAY SEASON.
VISITORS: If you have a fever, cough or diarrhea --
please, consider the patient—and do not visit.
Thank you for caring for us, as we care for you"
Taylor Goldsworthy
Haden is asking for a
remote control airplane,
while Olivia wants a puppy
furby.
"It does anything you tell
it to," she says.
She also hoping for a sky
dancer.
"They have wings and
they fly up in the air and
dance."
Mattie isn't afraid to shoot
for the stars with her wish
list.
She wants a "blue flying
pony with shiny blue
wings."
The presents are definitely
the best part of Christmas
according to Noah, Taylor,
Olivia, Laura, and Haden.
Abby says Christmas is
celebrated because Santa
comes and "he gives toys to
everybody."
Mattie agrees, that Santa
must give toys to the whole
world, because "everybody
wants at least a single toy."
But what could be better
than getting toys on
Christmas?
Spending time with your
family of course.
"Because that makes
Christmas be even better,"
says Mattie.
