Thanks to the Legion men for the great job they did on cooking the Ladies' Christmas supper and serving it. Paul Spittal did a won- derful job of cooking. The Ladies' Auxiliary members got year pins at the regular meet - Sunday school concert scheduled for Dec. 18 Cavan United recently, cele - Church held brated their their regular 40th anniver- Sunday service with Rev. John in charge. The title of the ser- mon was "Source of Light and Life." Lorrie Goos and Monica Glanville and children lit the third Advent candle. Greeters and collectors were Bud and Mary Eyre. Dec. 18 is the Sunday School Concert at 9:30 a.m. Earl and Lorna McSpadden recently moved into their new home in Seaforth. Gordon and Irma Pryce sary. Bud and Mary Eyre are get- ting settled in their new home in Seaforth. Cavan U.C.W. held their Christmas meeting in the form of a potluck. As always lots of food was enjoyed. The budget for the next year was presented and discussed. FOOD FOR THOUGHT All you can do is dream of a white Christmas - seems it always leaves most of us in the red. Residents entertained by gospel singers . Gail and L a r r y. Mason's Fellowship Singers gave a gospel music program Sunday, Dec. 11 for a large and atten- tive group of residents. Volunteers Betty Simmons and Lillian Beer assisted resi- dents to the program and also helped serve delicious Christmas goodies along with eggnog or juice. Queensway's volunteer aux- iliary members met Tuesday morning for discussion of upcoming events and where they can offer their help. Rev. Alex McGillvery of the Zurich and Dashwood United Churches led worship Thesday afternoon with Belva Fuss as volunteer pianist. Marg is in every Wednesday afternoon leading the euchre program independently. Karen Lehnen R.N. and coordinator of the VON Palliative Care volunteers gave an informative inservice about "Loss at the Holidays" Thursday afternoon. Staff, vol- unteers and residents were welcome to attend Karen's presentation.
