Lisa Stewart, music therapist at
Queensway Nursing and Retirement resi-
dence in Hensall worked with several resi-
dents Monday morning both individually
and in her small group.
At lunch Lisa then treated everyone to
Christmas music as she played piano
throughout the meal.
In the afternoon the Bethel Reform
women facilitated their last bingo for the
month.
The eight breakfast group attendees
enjoyed a delicious meal Tuesday morn-
ing, prepared while they watched.
Volunteer Lillian Beer assisted at the
weekly event.
Pastor Elly Van Bergen led worship
Tuesday afternoon with Belva Fuss as vol-
unteer pianist.
Wednesday morning residents gathered
in the sunroom for their thrice weekly
exercise program. The physical workout
followed by a mental workout made up of
quizzes and games makes for a stimulat-
ing program.
Coffee and news group took place
Thursday morning with everyone perusing
several weekly papers as well as the daily
London Free Press. In the afternoon mani-
cures were done for several ladies in the
sunroom.
Friday afternoon the delicious scents of
fresh baking wafted down the halls where
the baking club was working. All in atten-
dance particularly liked the taste testing.
