The last two Mondays, the Bethel Reformed Ladies assisted with bingo while on Tuesdays church services were led by Pastor Rod Chalk and Rev. Harry Frielink. Wednesday euchre games always draw a good crowd. On Nov. 17, Father John was in to do a service for Catholic resi- QtIt 4'ILS %Sly III'siIlg 1-101111' dents. Fred -James and Ken Wilson provided music for Friendship Friday. Unfortunately, due to inclement weather; the November birthday party and senior diners scheduled for Nov. 24 had to be cancelled. The week ended with a Sunday afternoon tea party for nursing home residents. Tuesday morning breakfast groups are always eagerly antici- pated. The residents were able to voice their compliments and con- cerns at both Food Committee and Residents' Council. Exercises three times weekly, restorative care all week, music therapy, manicures and baking provide something of interest for everyone. Trees are being decorated indi- cating Christmas is on its way. Annual bake sale set for Dec..4 at St. Patrick's" On Sunday, Dec. 4 following the 11 a.m. Mass, at St. Patrick's, Dublin, there will be an annual bake sale and coffee hour in the church hall. Please bring two baked items per family. What a great way to start preparing for Christmas. An Ecumenical Advent Service was held on Nov. 27 at the United Church, Mitchell. Father Alan and the St. Vincent de Paul choir par- ticipated in music and scripture readings. THOUGHT FOR TODAY (a thought on a Christmas card to send) "Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Dough!" By Dorothy Dillon Good turnout for Seaforth Agricultural Society Toy, Craft and Doll show The ser- mon at Cavan United Church was titled "Preparation Without a Deadline." Glen and Marg McClure were the greeters and col- lectors. The Sunday School Christmas Concert is on Dec. 18 at the regular church time with lunch to follow. Winter arrived with a vengeance last Thursday. Now some of our first snowstorm is disappear- ing. The Seaforth Agricultural Society Toy, Craft and Doll show was held this past weekend.
