At Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy Whitson-Bahro was the min- ister with Joyce Pepper playing the organ. The offering was received by Robert Bell and Harry Smith. Presbyterian Church calendars are now available by calling Tracy at 237-3714. At Hensall United Church Deb Lambert was the organist. The sermon by Pastor Les Hills was titled "Actively Waiting." Glenn and Lois Hayter received the offering. Jayne Fragiskatos was the Sunday School leader. The Hensall and Community Horticultural Society held their annual pot -luck supper at Hensall United Church on Sunday evening with close to 20 sit- ting down for turkey. Following the meal Society President Luanne Phair conducted a few contests fol- lowed by Liz Sangster doing a planter demonstration. . Prize winners in the draws were Les Hills, Betty Simmons, Cecil Pepper, Ruth Johnston, and Pam Sangster. The annual Society meeting will be held in January. On Dec. 2 there will be a tree - lighting ceremony at the Village Hall at 6:30 p.m. Words of welcome, Santa and refreshments will be there. Please bring an unwrapped toy or non-perishable food item for the Huron County Christmas Bureau. The Hensall Community Development Action Committee is holding a Christmas Decoration Contest, with judging to take place on the evenings of Dec. 12 to 16. No registration necessary.
