Because the Rodens deliver newspapers in the area, they spent the early hours of Monday morning from 1:30 to 6 a.m. working as firefighters tried to extinguish their home. The Rodens, who hold yard sales at their home during the summer months, also lost close to $20,000 in inventory - including antiques and elec- tronic equipment - from their yard sale business, says Paul. He says neighbours and friends have been very gener- ous, offering clothing, food and places to stay. " "People have been very good," he says.
