The money was raised during FCC's annual coffee break fundraiser on Oct. 7. All of the coffee for the event was donated by Tim Horton's. Queensway Resident Council met Friday regarding participation in the upcoming Remembrance Day events. Pastoral volunteer Pastor Elly Van Bergen of Varna and Goshen United Churches will officiate at the Queensway Remembrance Service scheduled for Nov. llth at 2 p.m. Several local Legion members will attend. October birthdays were celebrated at the monthly Birthday Party Oct. 27 with entertainment by one-man band, Lorne McKenzie of Wingham. Birthday celebrants were, Marion Averill, Charles McLean, Bea Mantey, Lillian Quick, Winifred Kipper, Jack ( )ueenswa' \tir&iug Home Lavender, Bea Munn and Esther Wright. The Rev. John Trembulak of Zion Lutheran Church in Dashwood led worship Oct. 25 for residents and also spent time follow- ing the service providing pastoral vis- itation to his people. The artistic types at Queensway gathered in the sunroom on Friday afternoon to exercise their pumpkin carving talent. Residents drew the design on the pumpkins, staff wielded the knife, and several assisted with the emptying of the pumpkin con- tents.
