Huron United Way representatives Kim Payne (left) and John Bezaire (second from

Tim Horton's owner Larry Zaleski. The money was raised during FCC's annual coffee
break fundraiser on Oct. 7. All of the coffee for the event was donated by Tim Horton's.
Queensway
Resident Council met
Friday regarding
participation in the
upcoming Remembrance Day events.
Pastoral volunteer Pastor Elly Van
Bergen of Varna and Goshen United
Churches will officiate at the
Queensway Remembrance Service
scheduled for Nov. llth at 2 p.m.
Several local Legion members will
attend.
October birthdays were celebrated
at the monthly Birthday Party Oct.
27 with entertainment by one-man
band, Lorne McKenzie of Wingham.
Birthday celebrants were, Marion
Averill, Charles McLean, Bea Mantey,
Lillian Quick, Winifred Kipper, Jack

Lavender, Bea
Munn and Esther
Wright.
The Rev. John
Trembulak of Zion Lutheran Church
in Dashwood led worship Oct. 25 for
residents and also spent time follow-
ing the service providing pastoral vis-
itation to his people.
The artistic types at Queensway
gathered in the sunroom on Friday
afternoon to exercise their pumpkin
carving talent. Residents drew the
design on the pumpkins, staff wielded
the knife, and several assisted with
the emptying of the pumpkin con-
tents. The result was two quite
acceptable faces, one scary and one
happy.
