Seili, who stayed awhile to
enjoy the festive atmosphere
inside the Legion, said it was
critical for the community to step
up with a fundraiser.
"The cost of new equipment is
getting ridiculous," he said. "It's
(the fundraiser is) to improve
and go above and beyond the
care that's mandated," said Seili.
Other challenges were made by
Chris Lee, from the Walton
Motocross, Connie Devereaux,
from the Avon Maitland District
School Board, and Blooms 'N said to

The money is
going towards
upgrading the

those in attendance, "The
efforts today were a
kick-start to
upgrade the equip-

With the money
from the radiothon
and other projects
this year, the advi-
sory committee has
raised around 50
per cent of the total
required.
Throughout the
day the cotnmunity
was entertained by
local performers, Laura Elligsen,
the Elvis Gospel Group, Keith
Holland and Ivan Ruczycki, and
Elvis impersonator, Jack Storey,
just to name a few.
Towards the end of the day, the
crowd was treated to the dancing
of the Huron County Cloggers,
led by Sherry McCall.
McCall said she's thrilled by
the day's outcome.
"I'm just ecstatic, it's wonder-
ful," she said. "We can't say
enough about the community for
their support"
Seaforth Hospital Foundation
Chair Ron Lavoie said they will
"definitely be participating in the
radiothon next year, because
people obtain a lot of pride hav-
ing a complete health care facili-
ty."
