Busy month planned for Seaforth Legion
We have a fairly busy
month at the Seaforth
Legion during October.
We have a bus coming
from Byron on Oct. 29 and we also
have our Bazaar on Oct. 29. We
hope to have a good turnout at the
bazaar. Everyone is welcome and we
have a lot of good things to choose
from.
The dues for membership is $40
until Oct. 31.
There is zone bowling Nov. 5 in
Lucknow for regular and seniors
and zone curling in Seaforth Nov. 12
for regular and seniors.
We have lost two more veterans
this year - John Rivers and Bob
Newnham. We send our deepest
sympathies to their families.
Donations for the veterans in
Seaforth Legion
Parkwood hospital
were received gladly
and thankfully.
The Annual Zone
Banquet hosted by Goderich Branch
109 is Sunday, Oct. 30. Anyone
interested, call Gord DeJong.
Nov. 5 is the Remembrance Day
banquet at the Legion. Everyone is

Numerous -
tickets handed
out to Huron
County drivers
for speeding
Several drivers have been
stopped for travelling over 35
kilometres over the speed limit in
Huron County over the past
week, reports Huron OPP.
Numerous tickets have been
issued for speeding recently.
Radar clocked drivers going as
much as 127 km/h in an 80 km/h
zone.
Some of the drivers were youth
with several passengers in the
car. .
Speed still leads the way for
many of the crashes that Huron
County experiences, says local
police.
