Recognition came later in life for the Central Huron Secondary School (CHSS) graduate, as he continues a suc- cessful career in the world of Canadian come- dy. Nahrgang was the honoured guest and speak- er at CHSS's annual awards assembly last Friday. Held prior to the school's com- mencement cere- mony, the event recognized a number of Grade 9, 10 and 11 stu- dents through both subject and honour awards. While intro- ducing his for- mer student, CHSS drama teacher Stephen Oliver recalled his first experi- ences with Nahrgang — Grade 9 initia- tion day over 17 years ago. Looking back at high school, university and the early years of his career, Nahrgang told the student audience it never would have happened if he hadn't been willing to take risks.
