freestyle race. Seaforth came first with 440 points,
Mitchell came second with 276 points, Clinton came
third with 147 points and Exeter came fourth with 139
points.

Seaforth greens preparing
for Art Finlayson tourney
Seaforth lawn
bowlers took part
during the week in
several out-of-
town tournaments.
Bowling in St. Marys last
Tuesday saw Jack Muir and
Erich Matzold winning all
three games and placing
third.
Also on Tuesday, Lee
Ryan and Carol Carter won
first prize in New Hamburg
mixed pairs.
Wednesday saw three
mixed pairs teams attending
at the new Grand Cove Pine
Ridge Park Inc. greens.
Tom Phillips and Carol
Carter won second prize.
Friday, August 12 Rick
Wood, Dave Ducklow and
Jean Shillington of Clinton
won fourth prize at Sarnia's
mixed trebles Steak Fry
tournament.
Friday evening at the
Seaforth Greens was
hamburgers and hot dogs
for supper with Neil
Beuerman donning the
cook's hat and which over
20 members enjoyed
followed by an evening of
jitney bowling.
Sunday at Mitchell saw
Erich and Joyce Matzold
take fifth prize and Rick
Wood and Jean Shillington
sixth at the "Wm. Ducklow
Memorial" tournament.
Monday morning was
cleanup at the club house to
get ready for the
anniversary "Art Finlayson
Memorial" tournament

forecasting good weather.
The first draw
commences at 9:30 a.m.
and the second at 11 a.m.
Monday, at 7 p.m. will
see a mini tournament at
the greens for the Monday
evening men
bowlers. For
some of the new
bowlers this will
be their first tournament.
Tuesday, Aug. 23 will be
the August pot luck supper
at 6 p.m. with cards and
'jitney bowling after.
Hostesses will be Lucy
Jones and Mary Finlayson.
