MACKENZIE, Margaret: (nee
Cardno) 1912-2005, passed away
peacefully on Friday, August 05,
2005 at Post Inn Village, Oakville.
Margaret was predeceased by her
husband of 67 years, Samuel John
Mackenzie and brothers Nelson
and John. She is survived by her
sons Sandy (Betty) and David
(Ann), daughter Marna Brearley,
eight grandchildren, Boyd
(Maureen) Brearley, Peter (Marney)
Mackenzie, Greg (Heather)
Mackenzie, Allan Brearley,
Jonathan (Deborah) Mackenzie,
Scott Brearley, Andrew (Trisha)
Mackenzie, and Beth (Alan)
Williamson, and thirteen great-
grandchildren. Margaret was born
in Seaforth, Ontario on April 20.
1912. She attended and graduated
from MacDonald College, Guelph
in 1935. Margaret lived in
Georgetown, Ontario from 1936
until her death. In June 2004
Margaret was bestowed the title of
Honorary Companion of the
University of Guelph, Class of '35.
A memorial service will be held on
Saturday, August 13, 2005 at 1:00
p.m. at the J.S. Jones and Son
Funeral Home, 11582 Trafalgar
Road, North of Maple Ave.,

Jeremiah John Joseph (Jerry)
Murray, 75, of Dublin passed away
suddenly at his residence on
Sunday, August 7, 2005. Beloved
son of the late John E. and Melva
(Eckert) Murray. Loving brother of
Helen Nolan of RR 2, Dublin, Joe
Murray and wife Violet of Kitchener,
Beatrice Costello and husband
Gord of Kingston, Jerome Murray
and wife Joan of RR 5, Mitchell,
Cyril Murray and wife Rosemarie of
Waterloo and Ronald Murray and
wife Theresa of Mitchell. Dear
brother-in-law of Connie Murray
and Joe Delaney, both of RR 1,
Dublin. Also surviving are a
number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a sister Mary
Ellen Delaney, a brother Arthur
Murray and a brother-in-law Joe
Nolan. Jerry had farmed with his
parents for a number of years and
later worked for John Gaffney
Construction. He had also served
as Inspecting Trustee for the
Village of Dublin. He was a
member of St. Patrick's Roman
Catholic Church in Dublin. Jerry
was a 3rd Degree member of the
Fr. Stephen Eckert Council,
Knights of Columbus and a 4th
Degree member of the Blessed
Brother Andre Assembly. Friends
were received at St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church, Dublin on
Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where
Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated on Wednesday (today),
August 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
Alan Dufraimont - celebrant.
Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery,
Dublin. Pallbearers will be David
Murray, Gord Murray, Danny Nolan,
Mary Murray, Shirley Schinke and
Ben Murray. Memorial donations to
the Mitchell Food Bank, Diabetes
Association or charity of one's
choice would be appreciated.
Knights of Columbus prayers were
offered at the church Tuesday
evening at 9:00 p.m. Arrangements
entrusted to the Lockhart Funeral
