Seaforth Community Hospital Local Advisory Committee vice -chair Sheila Morton said she was able to confirm that Peacock will be participat- ing in the hospital fundrais- er the morning of Oct. 22. "She's in a performance of Hello Dolly the Friday night and in a matinee of Fallen Angels on the Saturday but she'll be com- ing for the morning. It's excellent," said Morton on Monday. Peacock, who has been performing for several decades at the Stratford Festival is playing the lead role in Hello Dolly this year. Morton told the LAC of the tentative plans to invite Peacock to help host the Seaforth radiothon at its June 28 meeting. "We hope she'll help answer the phones and it'd he nice if she'd sing a num- her from Hello Dolly," she told the LAC. Peacock, who lives in the Staffa area, was toured through the Seaforth hospi- tal and clinic last Friday, when she agreed to partici- pate in the radiothon. "She's just a marvellous person," said Morton. Seaforth is hoping to raise $125,000 towards a Computerized Radiology (CR) reader for thc local x- ray machine during the radiothon.when it becomes thc 12th hospital in Huron and Bruce counties to join the fundraiser.
