Believe and your dreams will take you there
From Page 1
Mr. Chisholm, Miss O'Connor, Mrs. Vallance, Miss
Ayotte and all our supplies for helping us get through
Grade 8 and preparing us for secondary school. To our
E.A.s for assisting us during class. To our principal,
Mrs. Gregus, for keeping us in line and helping us to
organize. To the Grade 7s, their parents, the L.S.C.
and the C.W.L. for helping make this night even more
special. To Father Lance, for his spiritual guidance
throughout the years. To our parents and family, for
supporting us, making sure we go to school and
helping us with our homework. To our friends, for the
good times, and being there when we need you the
most. We appreciate all of you.
To finish off our speech, we will now recite an
inspiring and beautiful poem called "Believe and Your
Dreams Will Take You There" by Shannon M. Lester.
Trust in yourself and you will find beautiful things
awaiting you.
Have faith in yourself.
As long as you remain strong,
You will find the light that makes the star within
your heart glisten.
A new chapter of life will begin
and we'll face new challenges
From Page 1
In a short period of time a new
chapter of our lives will begin. We
will be faced with new challenges
such as making new friends,
keeping up in school by making new
and better study habits, and
probably even start working part-
time to pay for college or university.
I'm sure that we will all do just
fine even when faced with difficult
situations if we just remember the
little mouse that wouldn't give up
until he solved his problems.
As we walk out of this school
tonight we will shut the door to
public school and open another
door, which leads to high school,
with new surprises waiting around
every bend.
Some of the familiar faces with us
tonight will not be with us in our
future experiences whether they are

Look to the morals which have always brought you
strength.
Find encouragement in every step you take and
follow your path to the most joyful endings.
Let your heart be open to the warmth and
compassion that others have to offer you.
Great potential Iies within you.
You hold your own destiny in your hands and your
aspirations in your heart.
You have so many places you can go.
Believe and your dreams will take you there.
Thank you.
We are full
of gratitude
for lessons
about life
From Page 1
Jade could beat any one of us in any sport you can name.
Nicolas is always full of life, whether it's swinging on the
swings at recess, in a heated game of tag, or biking around
after school.
If anyone, Aly is the one to keep her spirits up and find
humour in anything. Jamie's determination to find
something funny or positive in every situation continually
amazes me.
Whenever I see Alan, his brain is soaking up knowledge
from the thick books he's always reading. Ben is sure to
soar, whether in a plane, or in his whole life altogether.
Brent is full of determination, whether for learning a
new song on his guitar or playing an intense game of
basketball. And Tanner will forever be remembered for
being the chess master of all chess masters.
Katelyn Watson is always perky and full of school spirit.
Then there's Kaitlynn Wilson, who is destined for a career
on stage, full of fame and fortune.
Not only have my classmates left a lasting impression
on me, but my teachers have too. They have each, in their
own way, helped us all. They taught lessons both in the
classroom, on the basketball court, and the lessons about
life. For that, we are full of gratitude towards them.
As we goon tonight, we may bid farewell to some
friends, teachers and this school building that we have
become so familiar with. We move on to high school,
going into different classes among different schools. But I
know we will not forget what it took to get there and the
wonderful people we have met.
So there you have it. My valedictory speech.
Congratulations to my fellow graduates. I wish you all the
best. Thank you:
