At the event held at the Seaforth Community Centres, there were 75 prizes handed out with top prize being either a tractor or pick- up truck. The winner of the tractor elimination draw was Gary Rose of Seaforth who choose a John Deere tractor as his grand prize. This year the elimination draw sold 1,531 tickets out of 2,000 which were available. The event attracted people from all over Ontario, tractor elimination draw chairperson Jim Floyd said. Preparation for the event takes a year to complete and Floyd said that he had already started planning for next years event "yesterday" when he was asked on Monday. Floyd explained that every year it gets easier to organize the event. "To us it's just second nature," he said. Money raised from the tractor elimination draw will help the Seaforth Agricultural Society with many things in the commmunity. These include keep admission to their fall fair free, helping supply prize money to com- petitors at the fair and help- ing sponsor the local 4-1-1 Club.
