Bryan and Christina Gross (nee Van Poucke) were united
n marriage one year ago on July 3. 2004.The bride is the
daughter of Garry and Lillian Van Poucke of Seaforth. The
groom is the son of Gordon and Bernice Gross of Auburn.
Wedding attendants included: Heather Horne (maid of
honour and friend of the couple). Jacqueline Van Poucke
(sister of the bride), Anita Gross (sister of the groom).
April Gross (sister of the groom). Grant Bergsma (best
man and friend of the couple). Scott Allen (hrother-in-law
of the groom). Rob Foster (friend of the couple). and Mike
Ready (friend of the couple). Ring bearer was Jared
Bergsma. Reverend Patricia Cook officiated the service at
Londesborough United Church and the reception was held
at the Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre. The
happy couple honeymooned on the Mayan Riviera.
Mexico and now reside near Auburn, Ontario.

pot luck supper and social
Tuesday, June 21 at 6 p.m.
with Marie Thomas and
Isabelle Hunt as hostess.
Mary Finlayson welcomed
all present and George Ribey.

supper euchre was played in
the clubhouse while lawn
bowlers enjoyed an evening
of bowling on the greens.
Winners of the two games
were Carol Hey and Stephan
Gingras.
Euchre winners were: high
- Edna Mitchell and Vi
Glanville; most lone hands,
Betty Hulley and John
Goldsmith and consolation
prizes, Lucy Jones and Bill
Campbell.
The next social and supper
will be July 19 at 6 p.m. with
Bea Stoll and Lucy Jones as
hostesses.
Friday, June 24 was the
first barbecue of the season
and although the weather was
in the 30s, 22 enjoyed the
burgers and hot dogs and 14
members stayed for lawn
bowling after. A special
welcome to two new couples

evening, Neil Beuerman won
fourth with Jack Muir
winning consolation.
At Clinton men's pairs last
Wednesday Fred Tilley and
Erich Matzold were fourth
while Keith Snell and Bill
Roberton in his first ever
lawn bowling tournament,
also won two games.
Saturday at Goderich, Rick
Wood and Jean Bewley won
fifth prize while Jack and
Marie Muir won third at St.
Marys, sponsored by
Knechtel Foods and also won
first prize at Stratford on
Sunday in the Samsonite
tournament.
This year will see St.
Marys having the July 1
tournament and barbecue at
their club. Goderich Club
hosted a tournament in July
for many years.
