You reached out your arms to greet us, You were glad that we were there, It wasn't long and God reached out, And took you by the hand. We didn't want you to leave us, We wanted you to stay, But God said you have your memo- ries, And they went on their way. - Sadly missing you, Bill and Cynthia 46-25x1 HENDERSON, John: in memory of a loving husband, father, grand father and great grandfather who passed away 7 years ago on June 13, 1998. I remember the day I met you And the day God made you mine, I remember the day God took you, And will till the end of time. We made our vows together, Until death do we part, But the day God took you from me, My whole world fell apart. Sometimes I think I'm dreaming, I can't believe it's true, That I can go on living when I no longer have you, And the memories of the happy years, When we were together, The joys, the tears, the love, the fears, Will stay with me forever, And when I'm sad and lonely, And everything goes wrong, i seem to hear you whisper, "Cheer up and carry on." When I look back upon our lives, One thing makes me glad, That you chose to share with me, Those precious 50 years we had. Sadly missed and loved forever by wife Pearl and families. 46-25xlnxe OSBORN, Edna: April 7, 1918 - June 27, 1998. Hi Mom, I'm sure you're watching as our lives go on.... Always remembered....your chil- dren, Earlan, Lenora, Karen, Lyle, Pauline, Diana, June, Mary Ellen, Cheryl and Jacqueline. 46-25x 1 cc NOLAN: In loving memory of Joseph Nolan (1924-2002). At a regular meeting Tuesday, June 14, trustees unanimously approved a ten- tative three-year deal with its union of Office, Clerical, Technical and Educational Assistants (OCTEA). The employee group, with about 400 members, is repre- sented in Huron and Perth Counties by the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation (OSSTF), which also recently agreed with the Avon Maitland on a four- year deal for secondary school teachers. The OCTEA deal was the third of three approved by trustees at the meeting. At that point, only the OSSTF teacher agreement became official, because it had already been ratified by Avon Maitland secondary school teachers. A four-year deal with the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (EFTO) was ratified by employees later last week, bringing those contentious negotiations to an official close, while the OCTEA deal isn't expected to become official until union members vote this week. After the meeting, educa- tion director Geoff Williams responded to questions from reporters about the fact the board's ETFO negotiating team failed to meet two dead- lines imposed by the provin- cial government. An initial deadline required that boards settle with both elementary and secondary school teachers by June 1, or risk the withhold- ing of extra funds for special- ized teachers. Education minister Gerard Kennedy subsequently extended that deadline to June 7, but Avon Maitland was one of four hoards which didn't reach tentative deals until the next day. "We heard from the minis- ter's office that he was will- ing to have that money rein- stated if the things that were being withheld under the (ETFO) work -to -rule were put hack in place," Williams said.
