"Seaforth has been doing great. Even though we've increased the number of clinics, they come out and supported us. At each clinic, they always Meet the mark," she says. The clinic, held Monday at the Seaforth community centre, is one of an increasing amount of clinics throughout the Huron and Perth County area. "I don't know what we'd do without our northern donors. They're terrific," says Bryden. Receive Annual Reports of the Board of Directors, including Financial Statements, together with the Auditor's Report thereon. 2. Amend each of the Hospitals' Administrative and Professional Staff By -Laws.** 3. Appoint Auditors 3. Receive the Ad Hoc Nominating Committee Report on New Directors Members who pay their fees annually shall not be entitled to vote at any meetings of the Corporation unless their membership fees were paid in full at least thirty (30) days prior to the date of the meeting. **Amendments to the Hospitals' By-laws generally relate to amending the Professional Staff By-laws to create a uniform Alliance -wide Professional Staff By-law for all hospitals, an Alliance -wide Medical Advisory Committee and Alliance -wide privileges for all Professional Staff. The Professional Staff By-laws have also been updated to be consistent with the expectations of the OHA/OMA Prototype By-laws (2003) and to adopt best practices. The Administrative By-laws are amended to reflect changes in definitions occasioned by the changes to the Professional Staff By-laws and to allow Local Advisory Committee members to attend in camera portions of Board meetings at the Board's discretion. Correspondents Maplewood has busy spring During the month of May, residents of Maplewood Manor participated in games of crokinole, bingo and crafts with volunteers. Church services were held with Father Lance, Rev. Gould, Rev. Atkins and Rev. Wilson. A hymn sing was also enjoyed with Joyce Lammerant and Marian Cook. Ladies of Maplewood received potted pansies to honour them on Mother's Day. Maplewood Manor Manicure morning is always a popular activity with our ladies. Everyone enjoys getting their nails trimmed and polished. Geri Fashions of London were on hand to allow residents to add to their spring wardrobe. They enjoy the convenience of shopping at home. Marjory Papple entertained the residents with piano selections that everyone could hum along to. Residents thoroughly enjoyed an evening of fun and games with members of the Lions Club. There was great competition playing euchre, crokinole, scrabble and cribbage. Jayne Walsh, Jim Delaney, Andrew Patrick and Elgin Nott put on a wonderful evening of good old tyme music. Residents were delighted to have a visit with Joe Delaney as well. Queensway group takes time to discuss .current events Residents at Queensway Nursing and Retirement Residence in Hensall enjoyed their Monday morning workout outdoors on the deck. The fresh air and sunshine contributed to a great exercise Queensway session that was followed by games and quizzes developed to stimulate the mind. In the afternoon, the Hensall United Church women provided assistance and prizes at bingo. Tuesday morning breakfast group lingered over eggs made to order with cheddar cheese, melon, toast. coffee, tea and juice. The "boarding house reach" was in evidence as everyone enjoyed the meal served family style. Julie Keagan. social worker, chaired the family council meeting Wednesday afternoon with a good attendance of residents' family and friends. Euchre games facilitated by volunteer Marg Cole had several residents busy in the afternoon. Coffee and current events group met Thursday morning to peruse the weekly and daily papers. The section with exerpts from 10 to 100 years ago is of great interest to resident who often knew many of those mentioned. Music therapist Lisa Stewart met with several residents individually as well as her small group Thursday, working her musical magic. Friday morning following fun and fitness, the resident food committee met to review the new summer menus giving their input and opinions. In the evening Andy Rau and his friends provided musical entertainment in the retirement residence lounge. • Manicures, walks outdoors and games completed the week.
