The league, which is being organized by Cindy Windsor and Jason Phelan, is looking for men and women interested in playing in the Sunday morning ball games. "It gives couples a chance to play baseball with each other if they want to," said Windsor. "There's people who like to play co-ed ball as opposed to ladies' or men's," she added. The games will take place Sunday mornings at the Lions Park, will start the first week of June and will last eight weeks. "The best thing about this is no experience is necessary. You don't have to be a ball player," Windsor said. "That's the whole idea." Players in the league can be aged 16 "all the way up to 80 if they want to play," said Windsor. While playing in this league, Windsor said, players have a chance to make new friends and meet new people. For the past few years, Windsor and Jason Phelan, of Seaforth, have talked about starting the league, but only recently decided to move forward with it. So far, there are two teams and a handful of players interested in playing. Windsor said that they are still looking for individual players and teams. If you are interested in joining the league or have any questions, call Cindy Windsor at 522-0706 or Jason Phelan at 527-1758.
