Blooms N' Rooms flower shop takes
over Hearts and Flowers on Main Street
The owner of a new flower store in Seaforth is hoping to
bring her "fresh new style" to town.
Kendra Jewitt, who grew up in Seaforth but now lives in
Huron Park, said that when she opens up her store, Blooms
N' Rooms in the former Hearts and Flowers storefront, she
hopes to liven up the town's floral industry.
"I'm going to have stuff that people are going out of town
to get," said Jewitt.
Her "fresh style" will bring different types of house plants,
green plants, tropical plants and perhaps some outdoor
bedding plants..
As well as offering fresh floral arrangements and plants,
Jewitt plans on making artificial arrangements available for
people interested in decorating their homes.
Susan Arts, owner of Hearts and Flowers, said that the
reason she decided to put her business up for sale was
because her life was busy with her four children and with her
husband's business Tony Arts Financial.
The store, Arts said, was on the market for two weeks
before Jewitt purchased it.
Jewitt said that she decided to buy the business after some
friends told her that she would make a good addition to
downtown Seaforth.
Jewitt, a graduate of Humber College's retail floristry
program, has worked in several flower shops throughout
Huron County and at a store in St. Marys.
Located at 15 Main St., Blooms N' Rooms opened on
Monday.
good JU'lt'ti rs,
you cap tget Your kids vaccinated
for this kind of behaviour:
Believe it or not, your kid can die from kissing. Or sharing a bottle, a straw, even a smoke or
lipstick. It's called meningitis C and sharing saliva spreads it. Basically, bacteria infect the
bloodstream and the lining of the brain and spinal cord. Symptoms include headache. Fever.
Fatigue. A stiff neck. Sensitivity to light. Dizziness. And a red, blotchy rash. They could lose
their hearing. An arm or a leg. Worse, more than 1 in 10 who get infected (lie. So talk to your
kid about getting their free vaccination. Clinics are being held in your comnnmity and in
most schools, for 15- to 19 -year-olds. Call your local public health unit for more information.
Or talk to your doctor, visit: www.health.gov.on.ca, or call 1-877-234-4343, TTY 1-800-387-6559.
