As the food was cooking, the meeting was officially opened by reciting the 4-H pledge. The roll call, "name one product or recipe that has eggs as an ingredient, yet where you do not actually taste the egg," was answered. Michelle took attendance, as each member answered. The minutes were then read and approved. Pat then began discussing the meeting's topic, "Eggs'perimenting with Eggs." Pat went over the dif- ferent parts of an egg. The club then discussed the difference between a brown egg and a white egg. Some believe that the colour of the egg shell determines how healthy it is, however this is actually a result of the breed of chicken. The difference between a fresh egg and an old egg was reviewed. When cracked, old eggs lay flatter compared to fresh eggs. It was then time for the youth leader activity. Since the meeting was about exper- imenting, Michelle decided to do a number of activities experimenting with the uses of eggs, from drawing pic- tures to taste testing hard boiled eggs, the club consid- ered the different uses. The leaders announced that it was time to taste the food and the club members were eager to try each of the recipes. Everyone enjoyed them and went hack for sec- onds. The next meeting is on Feb. 2iI at 6:30 p.m. by Nicole Moore
