Join the youth justice services division to perform skilled
electrical duties for the Bluewater Youth Centre. You will:
renovate, alter, repair, install and carry out routine maintenance
of all electrical equipment/appliances; repair and maintain tools
and equipment, ensuring security; assist other maintenance
staff; instruct and supervise resident helpers. Location:
Highway 21 S., Goderich. File CYS/LJ-60.
Qualifications: completion of recognized apprenticeship in
electrical trade; certification by Ontario government; proven
experience as skilled electrician; working knowledge of tools,
equipment, methods, proper and safe practices of the electrical
trade; knowledge of laws, bylaws, regulations governing
electrical installations; ability to coordinate tasks/work with
other trades, and instruct/supervise resident helpers.
Salary range: $21 78 - $22.96 per hour
SUPERINTENDENT'S
SECRETARY
The youth justice services requires a skilled individual to provide
administrative/secretarial/clerical services to the superintendent
and deputy superintendents of the Bluewater Youth Centre, a
provincial youth justice facility located just south of Goderich,
on the shores of Lake Huron. Responsibilities include. word
processing a variety of confidential material, including reports,
letters, memoranda: maintaining administrative files; updating
manuals as required; coordinating meeting schedules:
providing other support and administrative services. Location:
Goderich. File CYS-4061.
Qualifications: demonstrated progressively responsible
secretarial experience; solid working knowledge of/experience
with personal computers, related software, including word
processing; excellent communication/interpersonal skiffs to
work with ministry/local staff, other stakeholders, members of
the public; experience/ability in managing various concurrent
administrative functions with initiative and discretion: ability to
prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
Salary range: $19.27 - $21.72 per hour

The Source Water Protection GIS Specialist will report to
the Project Manager and be part of a team coordinating
the implementation of drinking water source protection
planning in the Ausable Bayfield and Maitland Valley
Watershed Region. Key duties include gathering,
normalizing and managing digital data and creating map
products related b source protection planning,
coordination with partner agencies & municipalities on the
transfer of data and providing GIS support to source
protection related studies. The position will be based in
either Exeter or Wroxeter.
Qualifications
• degree or diploma in engineering, environmental
science. geography, GIS or related field
• minimum 2 years experience in applying GIS and
database management technologies in hydrological,
hydrogeological and environmental projects
• strong computer, ArcGIS/AutoCAD/PCI and related
mapping, graphics and database software s kills; html
would be an asset
• advanced database management, cartographic and
some computer programming skills
• strong understandng of spatial and relational database
concepts and design
• solid problem -solving, analytical. communication and
organizational skills
Remuneration - annual salary $34,000 - $40,000 based

Health Centre of Grand River
Hospital, on Sunday, February 6th,
2005, after a brief illness, John
Joseph Jordan, in his 84th year.
Jack was a member of Sacred
Heart Parish and was a quiet, com-
passionate and loving father, who
was always concerned about the
less fortunate. He enjoyed playing
Duplicate Bridge and spent many
happy hours fishing and camping in
many parts of Ontario and the
United States. During the Second
World War, he served as an officer
with the Canadian Air Force and
was a member of the Fred Gies,
Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.
50. He retired from Canada Post
after working there for over 25
years. Loving husband to the for-
mer Eileen Murphy. Dear father to
Vince and his wife Lynn and Mary
and her husband Anthony Frensch,
all of Kitchener, Colleen of Aurora
and Jo -Anne of Newmarket.

Woodlands Nursing Home,
Burlington on February 11, 2005 in
her 91st year. Loving wife of Lorne
C. Elder for 62 years. Predeceased
by her parents, one sister, six broth-
ers and grandchild Scott. Survived
by sister-in-law Leone Passmore of
Aylmer, Ontario. She will be sadly
missed by her children, Ken Elder
(Carol) of Ottawa, Jean MacBride
(Bob) of Cumberland Center,
Maine, Kathy Fulmer (Ray) of
Waterdown, John Elder (Cheryl) of
Belleville. Beloved grandmother of
Eric, Ingrid, Ajana, Garrick, Sara,
Aubrey and Mark. Sue's greatest
wish in life was that all her family
and friends would enjoy life and
take advantage of any new oppor-
tunities or challenges. Friends and
family were very important to Sue.
We were all deeply inspired by such
a fun loving Mom and wife and have
wonderful memories of a life lived to
its fullest. Her infectious smile and
hearty laugh remained with her
through her final days. Sue would
have wished to express her thanks
to Dr. Cross and Dr. Jones who
were so caring and attentive and to
the staff at Cama Woodlands for
their loving care. Cremation has
taken place. A memorial service will
be held in Hensall in the Spring. If
