Saturday will also offer a skating club craft show at the public school, an Agricultural Society breakfast at the Agriplex, a continuing summer carnival, golfing at the Seaforth Golf Club, a seniors' dance featuring Classic Country at the Legion and a 50s dance featuring Eddie and the Edsels at the arena. Sunday's schedule includes breakfast at the Van Egmond House, a community church service at Northside United Church at 10 a.m., lunch at the Legion, a Lighthouse Swing Band concert at 2 p.m. at Victoria Park and a Seaforth Cooperative Children's Centre food booth at the concert. Events that continue on Sunday are the Legion hospitality tent, the public show craft show, the Agriplex carnival and golfing. Agar says advance tickets for the dances and the fish fry will become available in April. Volunteers needed to keep Block Parent program running From Page 1 programming or fundraising have been done since 2001. "If it continues. there needs to he fundraising, school education and recruiting along the school routes. There needs to he a committee to do this," Rooyakkers says. The Block Parent program is Canada's largest volunteer -run child safety organization with over 300,000 volunteers throughout the country. It provides a network of homes that are places of safety for someone who is in a dangerous or frightening situation.
