Father Lance Magdziak presided at the Funeral Liturgy. Herman was known for driving truck, and recently received a leather jacket for one million miles of safe driving. Herman also deeply enjoyed the times spent with family members, especially his nieces and nephews. St. Columban Dublin welcomes interim pastor Dublin Interim pastor for St. Patrick's and St. Vincent de Paul, Father Chris Quinlan (newly retired) is carrying on very, efficiently. When January is over. we will welcome Father Dewan. Students at St. Columban School returned to classes after the Christmas holiday. They are now preparing their speeches for upcoming competition. A "pop and chip" theme day is planned for this week. A special memorial assembly was held to remember the victims of the recent tsunamis in Southeast Asia and Indonesia. The students are also fund raising to send aid to the people there. The wedding ceremony took place at Main Street United Church, with Reverend Camilla LaRouche officiating. Kim Daub and Stephanie Peters-Hugill provided the readings for the ceremony. Reception followed later that evening at the Arden Park Hotel with Doug Hugill Jr. as the Master of Ceremonies. The maids of honour were Karen Bissonnette and Melissa Burton. The bridesmaids were Jodie Kerr, Jennifer Hugill and Laurie Kramer, and the flower girl was Samantha Kerr. The best man was Jared Petteplace. The groomsmen were Jeff Holman, Mike Kerr, Jonathan Hugill and Shawn Price.
