Think about it. If I were Santa, I would call Jenny Craig for an appointment. If 1 did lose some of this weight I wouldn't have any trouble going down chimneys. Oh Joy! And, the reindeers backs won't hurt anymore - you know what that means. No more chiropractor bills! Maybe even get that new white Santa suit 6000. Ho Ho Ho. If I were the big man I would go on more dates with Mrs. Claus. The only reasons I would do this is because Mrs. Claus would be happy and everyone needs a happy wife or else! I would also be able to get out of this hunk of red dust and into a smoken tux. And to fall in love all over again! Wow. St. Nick snap out of it! Or maybe I would ditch Christmas altogether. That would mean more sitting on the beach, tiki hut nights with Mrs. Claus in the south pole. And I mean who needs Santa, we got parents. And no more stress! No more writing letters to every kid in the world, no more late nights. A man has got to get his sleep. Oh joy, oh joy, oh joy. Wow, that would be a fantasy, but the suit is just so tacky. Rachel Askett Grade 6 St. James I you were Santa Claus what would you do? Would you order the elves around? Or would you have some children and teach them the family business? Well, here is what I would do if I were Santa Claus! If I were Santa Claus, the first thing I would do is make world peace a dream come true. And, make it so that everybody in those poor countries who have no food, can get food. I would do this because I don't just want people who have wealthy lives to have a happy Christmas, I want everybody to have a happy Christmas. Also, I have the time to do it. I'm not in a rushy jam packed schedule, I have loads of time! Plus instead of making wealthy people wealthier, I thought I would try make everybody equal. And (don't tell Mrs. Claus I said this) but if I don't do that, I won't be able to play ice hockey with the elves. You can't argue with that. The next thing I would do is have some children. I would do this so I could fill up the 15 bedrooms what we have in our mansion. Also, we would be more active and play things like in the winter Olympics, because we have an all year round rink and three ski resorts. Plus the elves and I could teach them to carry on in the family business so there will be a million more Santa Clauses to come. The last thing I would do is lose at least two out of the four hundred pounds that I weigh. (Maybe even three hundred pounds if it is possible). I would do' this because it would be a lot easier to lift very heavy presents, for those very rich people. (Man, how do people get so rich! 400,000,000 dollars a year!) Also then, when we do the running activities, the sons and I will be running together, not me five miles behind. So that ends what I would do if I were Santa Claus. If you were wondering why I didn't put in a double chocolate supreme milk shake maker in the sleigh, it's because Mrs. Claus said I won't lose any weight. Plus, I have to stay on a strict, no junk food diet. Cody Bennewies Grade 6 St. James If I were Santa Claus there would be many things that I would do to the world. Such as using the front door or to bring peace to the world. Any way these are the things that I have to do if I were Santa. Well, one thing that I would do to the world wouold be to bring world peace. Come on all of the wars have got to stop. If there was world peace then everyone would be happy and there be no more fighting. Another reason would be that no one would be in a dark alley with nothing to eat. If there was world peace everyone would have a home with some food. Best of all, if there was peace in the world there would be freedom to everyone, not just us but the whole world. That is why I would bring peace to the world. Another thing that would be nice, would be to use the front door. That would be good for Santa because for one thing people don't have a fireplace and the elves and I wouldn't want to go through all the trouble to make one. It would also be great if 1 used the front door because sometimes when he goes down the chimney he may get stuck and it would be hard to get unstuck. Another thing is that sometimes people leave their fire on, and when Santa goes down the chimney his rear end may get caught on fire so it would be best if he used the front door. All in all, it would probably be best if he used the front door. Another idea would probably be to get a giant megaphone and to sing to the world. It would be like a little extra carolling. For one thing people may think that it was the heavens and would want to spread Christmas Cheer. All the people would want to join in. When it is Christmas, I hardly see any carollers or none at all. When they hear him sing, the world would want to start to carol with Santa. If people were sad or unhappy, Santa's carolling would cheer up those people and get them ready for Christmas. These are ideas that I had thought of. Ah well, let's just see if Santa does anything differently this year. Evan Ribey Grade 6 St. James If I would be Santa for at least one day, I would practice flying with the reindeer for the big night. If I would be Santa Claus for at least one day I would help the elves make toys. This way, we could get the toys made faster. Santa would know exactly which toys the children want. Also, I would make some special toys to surprise the elves. They work so hard, they deserve a toy. Santa has to read the letters and then write back. I am a good reader so I could get the job done quickly. I would, also, be able to read the elves bedtime stories. I would do this because I love cookies. Mrs. Claus makes the best cookies in the world. I know this is true because all the children leave me cookies to eat. Being Santa would be so much fun but...on the other hand, I would rather stick to my own family. Jordan Coyne Grade 6 St. James TODAY'S SPECIALS: Warm Wishes & Gratitude To all our valued patrons, we wish a very merry holiday season and we thank you for making every day special for us this year. Terry's Family Restaurant wy. '8 East Seaforth 527-1346 If 1 were Santa I do these three things. How long have Mrs. Claus and I been together? I'd say about 5,000 years and I think that it's time that we had kids. Then I could fire the elves and hire the kids. Then I wouldn't have to pay anybody. Paying elves cost 50 per cent of my Christmas earnings. Also, not counting Mrs. Claus, I would have a human to talk to. I could go on a vacation in the Bahamas and the kids could do that year's route. This is something I have also wanted to do - be grumpy. I've been happy for so long now. I could also stop saying, "Ho, ho, ho." My doctor said that my lungs are going to explode sometime. Then I could get in trouble for once. 1 might even make it on the naughty list. After that I might be able to go to my anger management class again. Finally, I would get liposuction. Everybody wants to be skinny for Christmas so why can't I! People might like me more too. But most of all would so I can do more things. He making list checking it twice. He's gonna find out if you're naughty or nice. Dylan Claus is comin' to town. Doesn't that sound like a good tune? I'd do these things if 1 were Santa. Dylan Bruxer Grade 6 St. James Warm and friendly wishes r a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
