Jason Middleton photos If I were Santa If I were Santa, I would give the elves a raise If I was Santa I would re- name all of the reindeer because then there would be a different song for "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer." And because the reindeer once told me they didn't like their names. Dasher doesn't like his name because he's not fast. Dancer doesn't dance. And Prancer doesn't prance. So this is what I would name them. Dasher - Slacker; Dancer Skipper; Prancer - Swagger; Vixen - Filly; Comet - Rocket; Cupid - Candy Cane; Donner - Dizzy; Blitzen - Blizzard; Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer - Rudolph the Green Nose Reindeer. I think they would all love their new names. So now you know what I would do. Sadie Jansen St. James Grade 4 If I was Santa I would move to Florida in January and stay there until December 20, so I could have a vacation. I would do this because I need to get away from the snow. I would take the presents to the children, then I would go back to the North Pole and say "goodbye" to all the elves. I would go back to Florida for a while and get some rest and relaxation. That's what I would do if I was Santa. Michael Kramers St. James Grade 4 If I was Santa, I would drive a red and green convertable and dress up like the Grinch to match the car. I would do that because the kids I delivered to might think that I was actually the Grinch. But instead of just me going, Mrs. Claus would dress up as Cindy -Lou. Then Rudolph would go as Max the dog. That would be so much fun! Tom Garrick St. James Grade 4 If I was Santa, I would drive a Viper with horse power because it would be faster. I would move to Florida because it's warmer. I would use my magical powers and make homes for the poor, give them some money, and make stores for them. I would zoom through the chimney's like a thunderbolt. I would zoom around the world and deliver all the toys in 60 seconds. Josh Laycox St. James Grade 4 If I were Santa I would change a lot of things around the workshop, what the elves do and not use a sleigh. #1. I would hire and fire some elves because some people might want to be elves. Some elves don't work hard enough and the workshop will go faster so they will be on time for Christmas. #2. I would not use a sleigh because something else could be a lot faster and the sleigh could break down. It could fly higher so nobody could see it. #3. Instead of living in the North Pole I would live somewhere else. Maybe a warmer climate would be nice such as Florida. It would mean working outside making toys and no workshop. That's what I would do if I were Santa. Do you think they are good suggestions. Kaleb Arts St. James Grade 6 If I were Santa I would give the elves a raise and also give them a 3 week vacation. I would also get electricity in the North Pole so then the kids could e-mail me their Christmas letters. I would also get two more reindeer so. the sleigh would be easier to pull so then I could give more presents to the children and give some better presents to rhe homeless. Tyler Hendricks St. James Grade 8 If I was Santa.1 would give the elves a raise because the electricity bills are high in the north pole. If I was Santa I would go on a slim fast diet and only drink Diet pop. If I was Santa I would shave more often because bears are itchy and annoying. If I was Santa I would get the elves to deliver presents and put a plane engine in my sleigh and let the reindeer have a rest. Greg Godln St. James Grade 8 If I was Santa I would get a new sleigh. I would get a unique, grand sparkling Ford F150. It would have a hemi. And it would be drawn by cows. Therefore I would purchase dinky convertibles for the elves. They could depart themselves to the hospitals because I wouldn't be able to lurk around. Next I would have pop and chips instead of milk and cookies. You could leave out hay, molasses, or corn for the cows. And my elves would get promotions and checks for $100,000 a year (if they were a craftsman in the toy shop). Matt Nigh St. James Grade 7 If I were Santa I would give everybody the same amount of presents, most importantly, poor people. Also I would give the poor people more presents, because they don't receive many special gifts. I would give them hair brushes, toothpaste and toothbrushes. I would also give them soap and toys to play with. If I could I would give them a house, but I don't think that it would fit in my sleigh. If 1 were Santa I would even give the foul people presents, because I am sure that they will try to be better behaved next year. Also, I would leave a letter for the kids saying thank you for the cookies. I would also answer all of their questions. If 1 were Santa, I would fill their stockings to the top. And if I were Santa I would be the best Santa Claus ever. Ho, HO, Ho! Alanah Campbell St. James Grade 7 If I were Santa Claus I would...get another animal to pull the sleigh, for example a bear, or an elephant. I feel that way because the reindeer get tired after a little while. Also because the children don't like the reindeer after every other Christmas. Also a bear is stronger and faster through the snow. The children like the elephants so much I would give them all a ride through the snow. Elephants are good at cleaning also and Mrs. Claus could have a day off. Joost Kemerink St. James Grade 7 If I were Santa ,Claus I would try to make everyone's Christmas incredible. I would give people what they need, not just what they want. If I was Santa I would give families that don't have clothing or food the things they need. I would give them some cloth for warm clothing. Then 1 would give them food so they wouldn't starve. I would also give them some other things like blankets and toys. I wouldn't forget about anyone. I would like to make every little kid and all parents happy. I would like to also talk to them in person and see what they want for Christmas. I would make sure I read all Christmas letters I got. I would give every child a note from me telling them that they have been good. If I were Santa Claus I would like to make all children smile. The only thing I would want if I were Santa Claus is that all the children in the world are happy and having fun with their families and friends. I think I would be a great Santa Claus.
