Legion prepares for Remembrance Day
There will be a few
changes for Remembrance
week this year.
There will be no parade
to the church
(Presbyterian) this year.
Instead, we will all meet
at the church and file in an
orderly fashion with the
colours for an 11:15 a.m.
service Nov. 7.
Afterwards, we will return
to the branch for a light
lunch followed by our
annual poppy drive which
will start at 1 p.m.
Let's have a good
turnout as many hands
make for less work.
As well, the
Remembrance banquet
this year will be held on
Nov. 13. Tickets are at the
bar.
On Nov. 11, weather
permitting, we will parade

and inspection. Let's have
a good turnout for this
general meeting.

held in Lucknow on Nov.

Zone curling will be held
in Wingham on Nov. 27.

Christmas party is on Dec.
12 this year. More details
later.
At the general meeting a
discussion will be held
about the smoking by-law
and what our options are.
A committee was formed
to investigate these
options. We have lost
some business and it will
get worse as the weather
gets colder.
A get well from the
branch to all who found
themselves in hospital.
