A Quiet Gentle Man
(Tribute to a Father)
Saying it's so is the way, it would
be,Not iron clad but don't disagree,
But a maybe's a sign, that you can
appeal. There's always a chance, a
deal you will seal. He's kind, he's
gentle and he's always there. You'll
know that he is and he'll always
care. He doesn't say much, it
always seems.Never goes on or,
tums to extremes. Stubborn he is
and, that he'll always be. But he's
always fair, and you'll have to see.
He's always the one, when you
least expect. To turn things
around,make it all correct. Always
he's saying that he can't do a thing.
He's never the one who can make
the bells ring. But some how, some
way, when all's said and done. He's
done something right and all things
they run.lt seems without trying that
he's found a way. All things just
work out at the end of the day. Oh to
be like him, it might just be fine. But
everyone's different, he's one of a
kind. So take something,from the
good that there is, Make it the best
part, of what ever was his. Hold to
your heart, just as tight as you can.
The things you hold dear of this
quiet, gentle man.

47 Cards of Thanks
HAUGH: We wish to thank the
Brucefield and Seaforth Fire
Departments for their assistance
during our recent fire. Your profes-
sionalism does you great credit. To
the many friends, neighbours and
strangers who offered help or
expressed sympathy and encour-
agement, you are all wonderful.
Special thanks go to Walter Yule
whose quick thinking and courage
saved four of Al's antique tractors
and to Howard Allan, Robert
McCartney, Willie and Kayleigh De
Jong for their help during the
cleanup. Without all of you it would
have been much worse. We are
very grateful. Christie and Allan
Haugh.
KLAVER : We would like to thank
the Brucefield Flre Dept along with
the Hensel) Fire Dept who respond-
ed to our bam fire. We commend
them for a job well done. Thank you
to the family and neighbours who
were there the night of the fire and
days following to offer help and
comfort. Thank you to the trailer
crew who sorted and moved the
cows into a 'stable' environment. A
big Thank you to Connie Murray
and family for allowing us the
opportunity to use their bam. Your
kindness has softened the blow and
being able to continue milking is
essential to picking up where we
left off. Thank you to the many peo-
ple who came to help with the clean
up. Many hands definitely made
light work although the work was
not light. The steady flow of food
was incredible and greatly appreci
ated as was all those hands that
came together to serve lunch and
