Two local teens face off
in OHL season opener
By Susan Hundertmark
Expositor Editor
Two Seaforth-area boys -
Tyler Doig, of Seaforth, and
Cal O'Reilly, of Brucefield,
scored the first goal for their
respective teams in a Junior A
season opener for the Guelph
Storm against the Windsor
Spitfires on Sunday afternoon.
Doig's mother Vickie said
close to 50 Seaforth people
were in the stands with 4,000
other spectators watching the
two local players compete
against each other in the OHL
game.
"I don't think this is going to
become a rivalry. We cheered
for both teams," said Vickie.
"Tyler scored first and
within 10 minutes, Cal
scored," she said.
The score was tied 3-3 at the
end of the game after
overtime.
Doig and O'Reilly played
hockey together for the Huron -
Perth Lakers and won the
OHA Memorial Cup. As well,
they played together for a few
years on the St. Marys
Lincolns.
O'Reilly is starting his
second year with the Windsor
Spitfires while Doig is just
beginning his first year with
the Guelph Storm.
"It's a lot faster game at this
level but Tyler is adjusting,"
said .Vickie.

says.
Costello won three games
before losing in the finals last
Wednesday. During her second
