"It was a way to celebrate
and we wanted to celebrate
with the people that have been
part of the reason for our
longevitiy," says Elliott.
An 80th anniversary is
"quite a landmark" according
to Elliott, because some serv-
ice clubs fold before that
anniversary.
She explained that the
Seaforth Lions are now in the
midst of a membership drive.
"We are going to he
approaching people who we
think might he interested who
are civic -minded like we are
and like to have a good time
while helping out their com-
munity." says Elliott.
