Second Survivor event "more challenging" this year, says event organizer By Susan Hundertmark Expositor Editor For the second sutnmcr in a row, reality TV game Survivor fans Brenda and Paul Menary organized a Survivor challenge for 39 family members and neighbourhood kids. But this time, the adults were the real survivors by shortening the day and splitting the work between a larger group of parents. "We worked as a group and we had more help this year," says Brenda. The two-year tradition began last year when the Menarys and their friends Todd Chisholm Anne Marie Bedard and Chris Cairns had a conversation at a hallgame about turning their favourite TV show into a day -long activity for their children. Instead of going from 9 a.m. to 9 p.rn. like last year. the challenge ended at 3 p.m. and the day was more jam-packed with activities. Challenges included a gamc of flags, a food challenge that involved HAPPY ~! "It was a little more challenging and competitive this year." says Brenda. "The kids had a blast. The weather was great and they all got gold or silver medals," adds Totld. Last year's sole survivor.
