Seaforth Lions Pool hosts local
tournament and places second

Placing second by
only two points against
a team that has close to
double the members,
Seaforth Lions Pool's
swim team, the Sea
Lions, was celebrating
its results at its
hometown swim meet
Saturday morning.
"The results of this
meet were really good.
We have a lot of kids on
the team this year and
more interest locally in
swim team. We haven't
gotten this high a score
in years and years."
said Seaforth swim
team coach Julie
Phillips.
Seaforth has more
than 20 members. aged
seven to 14. this year.
The Seaforth Sea
Lions earned 25.5
points, coming second
to Stratford at 257
points. Coming third
was St. Marys with 150
points, followed by
Goderich at 89 points
and Lucknow at 76
points.
The final meet for the
Seaforth swim team is
in Goderich op Aug. 28.

A pick-up truck. left
unlocked with the keys
inside, was stolen from the
driveway of a residence on
Brussels Line in Huron East
on Aug. 13 sometime
between 12:30 and 6:30 p.m.
The blue 1996 Dodge Ram
pickup truck was parked next
to the driving shed and has
Ontario licence plates FY5-
878.
