They hiked along the interpretive trail and amongst other activities, enjoyed the opportunity of meeting a baby tree swallow carefully held for them by Hullett staff. They learned about the habitats of several bird species along the trail and wrapped up the activities with a visit to one of the pheasant cages where staff caught a couple of the birds and held them out for the children to pet. There are a number of activities planned throughout the summer for both kids and. adults alike. All programs offered are free of charge and people are invited to call or visit the Hullett office (482-7011) anytime for directions to the marsh or additional information on any questions they may have. The next event is a Skinning Demonstration, July 25 from 7:30 — 8:30pm.
