FAITHS PASTORAL CENTRE BENMILLER, 524-5724 Seaforth welcomes members of Brussels lawn bowling club The Seaforth Lawn Bowling club held its Seaforth Lawn Bowling monthly potluck supper Tuesday, June 22 with Bessie Boyd and Bea Stoll as hostesses. President, Keith Snell welcomed all, especially new members from the former. Brussels Lawn Bowling Club. George Ribey offered grace and hosting next month will be George and Ruth Ribey. Following supper there were lawn bowls on the greens with euchre played in the club house. Winners at euchre were green cards - high, Bea Stoll; lone hands, Isabelle Hunt; consolation, Mary Finlayson. Tan cards - high, Helen McKenzie; lone hands, Jean Keyes; consolation, Phil Thomas. Lawn bowling winners were Jean Bewley and Carol Hey. Friday evening saw 24 out for a barbecue of burgers and dogs for supper with Neil and Donna Beuerman doing the cooking. Lawn bowling was engaged in after and high scores were held by Carol Hey and Donna Beuerman. Seaforth bowlers have been active in out-of-town tournaments with three teams at Ckinton men's pairs on Wednesday. Fred Tilley and Erich Matzold were third, Lee Ryan and Dennis Schmidt fourth and Jack Muir and Keith Snell won the consolation prize. At St. Marys lawn bowling club on Friday, Seaforth's duo of Lee Ryan and Carol Carter won first, while Jack and Marie Muir took consolation. Saturday at the London Fairmont Club, Lee Ryan and Fred Tilley won consolation prize in the Bob McIntosh Memorial Tournament. Several teams were in Stratford on Sunday at thc Samsonite Tournament with Jack and Marie Muir winning fifth prize. Many of our older howlers will remember thc old Godcrich Clubhouse and their two greens which drew bowlers from a wide arca on July 1. Every year this tournament would be filled.
