Lawn bowling season begins Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club The Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club opened on Monday, May 24 with a pot luck supper at 5:30 p.m. Twenty-six members and associates were present and hosting were Jack and Marie Muir. President Keith Snell welcomed everyone and Edna Waddington led in the singing of grace. Afternoon lawn bowling was cancelled due to heavy rain but euchre was played following supper with winners as follows: yellow tickets high, Jack Muir; lone hand, Neil Beuerman: low, Marie Muir; white tickets, high,Carol Baker; lone hands, Marjorie Rock; low, Marie Thomas. The June pot luck supper and social will be June 22 at 6 p.m. and hostesses will be Bea Stoll and Bessie Boyd. Saturday, May 29 saw the District 4 playdowns being held at the Seaforth club. Advancing to the next round of provincials were the Exeter ladies team of Joanne Bugler (skip), Gloria McFalls (vice), Diane Terry (second) and Carol Carter, of Seaforth (lead).
