needs games held recently at
St. Mary's School in
Goderich. This was
sponsored by the Huron
Perth Catholic School Board
for all the elementary school
special needs students in the
system.
There were 10 regular track
events including high jump,
running long jump, and
several races. There were
also 12 non-competitive
events such as water pistol
art, parachute games, match
games and fishing games.
There were 30 special
needs students who
participated. Each athlete
received a trophy.
Everyone's spirits soared
that day - parents and
teachers - but most
especially these childrens'
spirits definitely soared that
day as they were recognized
as valuable members of our
communities.
