Michael Finkbeiner was born Feb-
ruary 25, 1856 near Crediton and
died on Saturday October 30, 1926;
after a very brief illness. In Aug-
ust of 1882 he was united in mar -
'siege to Fredericka Rotbfusz. 3
• sons and 3 daughters were born to
them. One son predeceased father
4-2 years ago and mother died n33
years ago. The departed had dis-
posed of his farm and was busily at
work moving his houerheld effects to
his new home in Crediton and with
his companion and daughter was
looking forward to a pleasant end
restful evening of life. But God
• whose calendar reads different than
ours saw fit to transfer him past his
newly acquired home to the man-
sions ,above.',Last Thursday 'even-
ing he became ill rather suddenly
and his condition grew more serious
and on Saturday afternoon' he died.
The late Mr. Finkbeiner's second
marriage was to Fredericka Geiger
on July 24, 1884. One son and 3
daughters were born to them. In
both of these unions the domestic
life and relationships were most har-•
monious, loving and peaceful be-
tween parents and children. Amid
the sorrow occasioned by his death,
the aching heart exclaims; Oh that
these happy bonds of love might
have longer endured. Mr. Fink-
beiner became a christian in his
youth during the ministry of Rev.
Mr. Dierlam and became a member
of Zion Evangelical cburch, which
connection he held until death. Last
Tuesday he wsa 'present at the mem-
orial service of the late Jacob Fink-
beiner and apparently in good health

father and a devoted husband. There
