By Liz Sangster Residents geared for Sawmill Road Farm Machinery Christmas Parade Area residents are gearing up for the fourth Annual Sawmill Road Farm Machinery Christmas Parade. This parade of local farm machinery, decorated for Christmas, has become a highlight after a season of hard work for many local farmers. It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, departing from the farm of Gord and Irma Pryce at 5:30 p.m. It will travel east on Sawmill Road, north of Beechwood Line, west of Hullett-McKillop St. Columban Road, south on Hensall Road, turning east on Sawmill Road to return to the point of origin. Anyone wishing to participate with a decorated piece of machinery can contact Gord Pryce. In the past, spectators have taken advantage of empty laneways or the corners to view this spectacular event. This promises to be a festive night of lights, fun, fellowship, and a glimpse of Santa. Students at St. Columban School marked Remembrance Day with a special assembly which involved the whole school. The Remembrance Day assembly included songs, poems and prayers, as well as wreaths of Remembrance. The Grade 8 classes, both boys and girls, participated in separate divisions in a recent football tournament held in Goderich. The St. Columban School boys' team placed second, while the St. Columban School girls' team topped in first place in the event. 0 UR LOWESI ORTG GE EVER! 5 YEAR RATE A99% M R ATES MITCHELL & DISTRICT CREDIT UNION LTD. 1 YEAR RATE 375% /11.
