E. Tuckey. Mr. and Mrs. Peter Robertson and son, Peter'and Miss Ruby Creech, of Stratford, spent Sunday with Mrs. T. G. Creech. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Rowe and Mr. C. C. Pilon motored to Toronto for a couple of days last week. Mr. Esti Heywood is erecting a new red rug brick veneer residence on Laughall St. The brick -work is nearly completed. Rev. D. McTaysh and Rev. F. E. Clysdale are in Toronto this week attending a missionary convention of the United church. Dr. Earl Mitchell, of Toronto, and Miss Greta Sheere, of Brantford, spent a few days during the week with relatives in town. Dr. Mary Johnston and Dr. Mabel Bray, of Hamilton, spent the week- end with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Johnston. `• Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dearing of London and Mrs. F. Galling and son Frank, of St. Thomas visited with Mrs. T. G. Creech on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. B. W. F. Beavers and son. Reg. motored to Toronto to take in the' Missionary convention being held in that city this week. Mrs. Thos. Shapton, who has been confined to her home with illness for some time, is not as well at present. her condition being somewhat crit- ical. Mr. Geo. Willis and Mr. James McGuffin motored up from London and visited the former's mother, Mrs. Jas. Willis, and other friends on Sunday. Mr. Aylmer Christie has returned home after spending the past month as assistant judge of school fairs in Ontario county with headquarters at Uxbridge. Miss Ella. Kuntz last week under- went an operation for the removal of her tonsils and adenoids, the op- eration being performed by Dr. H. J. Browning.. Mr. ans1 Mrs. R. G.
