The death occurred in Howell on
Tuesday morning of%Mary Ann Hor-
ton, relict of the late Robt. Bullard,
in her 77th year. Mrs.: Bullard had
not been sick ;_long and her death
was a great shock tot her friends.
She was a life long resident of this
vicinity and was well known. The
+funeral will ,take -piace from ' her late
residence here on ; Thursday . after=
noon to the Hensall. Union cemetery.
She was a sister of Mn. Henry Horton
of Tuckersmith and Mrs. Thos. Dick -
non and has severalsons and daugh-
ters. Owing to the .election and also

On Tuesday evening September 7,
the gil's soft ball team enjoyed a
corn roast in Mr. Prance's woods.
While the flames and the sparks
mounted high, games were played in
their light. After the flames had
died down a splendid bed of coals
were left on which the corn and
weiners were cooked. All present
spent a very enjoyable evening.

who died quite suddenly at Blyth.
She was a neice of Mr. Gardiners.
