The tree had fallen over. I guess Relph decided to climb our Christmas tree. With the ornaments still swaying, Relph was hiding under the tree. No ornaments were broken but the tree was really bent out of shape. We had to lift the whole tree to get to Relph. We finally got to Relph. It wasn't too funny at the time, but in the end we were laughing. We were just glad that our cat was okay and that's my best Christmas memory. Alyson McKellar Grade 6 Seaforth Public School MY CHRISTMAS MEMORY One night my family and I decided to decorate the Christmas tree. It was a nice night and it had already started to snow. First we put the lights on the tree. Then we had to decide if we wanted to put tinsel or beads on the tree. We all decided to put the beads on and tree looked great already. Then each person in my family took their own bulb that had their name on it and hung it on the tree. Later my family and I finished putting the ornaments on the tree. Finally it was time to put the angel on the top. I climbed up on top of couch and I put on the angel. When I climbed down we lit the lights and the tree looked great. After that my Dad went outside to hang lights on our house. Later my Dad came inside and told us to come outside to see the lights. My family and I stood outside to admire the lights on the roof. After that we all went inside to have a cup of hot chocolate together. My favourite gifts ever were the scooter I got from my aunt and the Harry Potter Levitating Challenge game I got from randy and Ryan Finnie's grandma, Maxine Maize. The gift I enjoyed giving the most was a small airplane ornament for the Christmas tree. I gave it to my Dad. He really liked it. I've had a lot of good Christmases but these were the best ever. Ben Shepherd Grade 6 Seaforth Public School MY BEST CHRISTMAS I remember one Christmas when I was five years old, my family and I went to my grandparents' house. We got there and'I rushed to the tree. My dog came in after me and sat under the tree. There were no presents. I went back to the kitchen to complain. My grandparents told me that Santa had hidden them throughout the house so I started to look for my presents. I found one in the freezer and one behind the toilet. The rest of them were scattered around the basement. draws near the excitement grows - the decorations uptown, the houses all lit, the local Santa Claus parade, and spending time with my family. Our family always picks a real tree. When we pick a tree, we always seem to pick the perfect one. Our family decorates the tree with both bought and handmade decorations. On Christmas Eve we hang our stockings up and head to bed. On Christmas morning my sister rushes downstairs at the break of dawn and sorts out our gifts but before opening any presents under the tree, we open our stockings filled with goodies. In order to open any presents under the tree, we have to wake up my other sister and brother. After waking them up it's egg nog and cinnamon buns for all six family members. Then we exchange gifts and have a great day. On Boxing Day we have a lovely dinner with mouth- watering desserts at my uncle's house with all my cousins and relatives. We exchange presents and have lots of fun. When I see how happy my younger cousins are to see me, it makes Christmas extra special. I decided to ask my sleeping Mom if I could open my presents. Soon my little sister woke up. Together we decided to Tanner Ward start unwrapping our Grade 6 stockings.
